Introducing Rachel
There has always been a Singer sewing machine in my home. Sewing has always been in my life; my grandmother was a tailoress and my mother sewed my siblings and my clothing and taught me how to sew.

I moved into making quilts, placemats, bed runners, and other sewing projects in 2012 while recovering from major surgery, as I needed something to keep me occupied!

In 2019 I had the chance to purchase a longarm machine, a Q'nique 19", as it had been my dream to own one. Her name is Samantha! I love her and have spent many happy hours in my studio learning how to quilt on a longarm machine, and that feeling of accomplishment when completing a quilt is fabulous and feeds my soul.

Now in 2023 - Life has given me a chance to be in business for myself, to share my love of the craft and my creative expression.

In June of 2023, I am proud to share that I completed the APQS* Longarm Certification by Fons and Porter, which included techniques in quilt evaluation, loading, muscle memory, wavy borders, puffy blocks, etc. This certification is also intensive in free motion skills and is held in high regard in the quilting community.
With my training, experience, certification, and passion, I am confident that I can tackle any custom-quilt or project you need. So please contact me to preserve memories and help complete your beautiful quilts.

*APQS stands for American Professional Quilting Systems
